Dec 5, 2021 · What I was referring to was my Sportsman 48 has the same friction ring but also a couple of additional rings, one of which you can reverse depending on the load. The Model 11 schematic shows very similar rings. My 11-48 doesn't have those two additional rings, only the friction ring. The Sportsman 48 has 3 rings. Description: Remington Sportsman 48, D-grade engraved shotgun in excellent condition. This Remington features masterful scroll work over the receiver and parts of the barrel with a vent rib sight.
